2011 - 2012 Scholarship Program

The Katie School of Insurance and Financial Services is pleased to announce its 2011-12 Scholarship Program with the generous support of donors from the insurance and financial services industry.  Scholarships ranging from $500 up to $5,000 are available to motivated applicants who pursue the study of Insurance at Illinois State University. The Scholarship Selection Committee will consider many factors including:

*Insurance Major/Minor                             *Gamma Iota Sigma Involvement
*Essay Quality                                           *Insurance Industry Involvement
*GPA                                                         *Katie School Events Involvement
*Community/Campus Involvement             *Internship/Work Experience
*Leadership Experiences                           *Classroom Participation
*Interview Score                                         *License/Designations/Professional Exams  

In addition, the Katie School, in conjunction with COBEC (College of Business Executive Council), developed the following criteria to consider in assessing character.

• Accountability
• Respect
• Integrity

As part of this assessment, students must agree to authorize a release of the student judicial record to the Director of the Katie School.  Please submit the authorization form when applying which may be found by clicking here.           
Please complete the application to be turned in to the Katie School, SFHB 432.
