First, register for your CPCU or IIA exam with the Katie School. After receiving confirmation of your registration from the American Institute for CPCU, register for your exam with the University Exam Center. Our testing center code is WIL85. Please call Deb Cowdery at the University Exam Center at (309) 438-3984 or to schedule an exam time. Testing is now located on the Illinois State University campus at the Telefund Center at 205 S. Main St. Seating is limited to 31 per session, so please schedule your test early.
The exam fee is paid when you register. The fee for testing at the Illinois State University Exam Center is $30. This fee is paid by the Katie School of Insurance but you must let them know that you are an insurance student when you sign up for the exam.
Students must complete the CPCU/IIA registration form (found in the Katie School Office College of Business Room 432), obtain a letter from the Katie School stating that the student is a full-time student (and gets discount). There is no cost for full-time students for a CPCU or for an IIA exam (such as INS 23). The registration form, letter, and check (for part-time students) should be given to Lesley Sauder or Jim Jones at the Katie School. The Katie School will forward this to the American Institute for CPCU. Students should receive a confirmation from the American Institute for CPCU at least 30 days before the exam.
CLU exams are waived for students who get a “B” or better in FIL 351 or FIL 353. Students must pay a matriculation fee of $30 and complete a form requesting credit for the CLU course.
Examinees will be asked to present a valid, current identification that contains both your photograph and your signature.
The testing center is located at the Telefund Center at 205 S. Main St., Normal, IL.

Smoking, food, beverages, cell phones, pagers, paper, and books are all prohibited in the testing room.
Please allow ample time for parking and walking to the testing center. There is metered parking near the Telefund Office. Parking is also available at the Bone Student Center.
