Welcome to the redbird challenge
Hello, my name is Jim Jones. I am the Director of the Katie School of Insurance at Illinois State University. We congratulate you on being selected for this program.
Although we have a number of challenging activities that await you, we believe that you will find these both enjoyable and educational. You will be working with other extremely talented students from other schools across the country in our Redbird Risk Management Challenge.
During the course of the week, you will work in teams running a business. This business will have a number of opportunities for generating revenue that your team will control. Your team will also be required to manage the risks for your business. Your ability to manage these risks will affect your success at least as much as your ability to earn revenue. This is a competitive game, and we will have many games within this game. Play fair, respect your teammates and your competitors, and have fun.
The top two winning teams will receive prizes.
