Fun, exciting, challenging, and educational...that's what the Redbird Risk Management Challenge is! This one week program, generally held late in the summer, is designed for top high school students entering their senior year and have interest in careers in business. Throughout the week students participate in a challenging management competition which includes experiential learning inside and outside of the classroom.
In the challenge, student-teams assume the roles of senior risk management professionals and are asked to guide their corporation through a mine field of potential disasters. Losses may occur without notice – and may cripple their corporation’s ability to carry on operations. Student-teams compete against one another each endeavoring to claim the title of The Challenge Champion. The winning team is determined by which corporation best manages its risk and generates the most profit by the end of the week.
